Masseria Trappeto, a tourist accommodation facility, is located one kilometre from Porto Cesareo in the heart of Salento in Apulia, and is surrounded by 63 hectares of countryside cultivated mainly with vineyards and olive groves. From Masseria Trappeto it takes little time to reach the main seaside resorts while avoiding traffic and city chaos. In fact, in a few minutes you can reach the most beautiful beaches of Porto Cesareo, Torre Lapillo, Torre Castiglione and Punta Prosciutto. The Masseria Trappeto, belonged to the family of Bartolomeo Massa, Baron of Carignano, whose coat of arms can be seen on the entrance portal and on the altar of the chapel. The Masseria owes its name to the large olive press located on the ground floor, which has now become a museum. You can still admire the presses, the millstones, the animal feeding troughs and the decantation tanks for the oil. Inside the masseria rises impetuously the 16th century tower where the Suite resides.
Masseria Trappeto offers Bed and Breakfast & Rooms accommodating guests in spacious and comfortable rooms. The rooms, typically Salento-style, built using the star vaulting, cross vaulting and flat roof technique, maintain the 16th-century characteristic in a modern key. The masseria has different types of rooms: Standard, Superior and Deluxe rooms located both on the ground floor and inside the 16th-century tower. The rooms, double, triple and quadruple rooms with the possibility of a fifth bed, are equipped with all comforts including wi-fi, air conditioning, minibar, herbal tea maker, TV and hairdryer.
Inside the Masseria Trappeto, set in the 16th-century tower, is a beautiful Suite overlooking the typical Salento countryside. The Suite is the most spacious room, boasting two pavilions, a bedroom and bathroom in the first and a fully equipped living room in the second for a total of one hundred square metres built with Botte Technique. The Suite is located at the highest point of the Tower and has a terrace that can be used as a solarium or for evening aperitifs. the Suite accommodates up to five people.
